Ojochal is often known as the "Culinary Center of Costa Rica" because of the variety of restaurants in the area. As we move into November and high season we enjoy the availability of all of our fabulous restaurants, after many had a quick break in October. Here are brief descriptions of the various restaurants in the area:

Azul at El Castillo-- Fine dining with a sweeping view of the ocean. A favorite place to enjoy sunset. The menu of Mediterranean cuisine ranges from bocas to a full dinner. Pizza night on Thursdays offers a variety of handmade pizzas that are cooked on the BBQ. Telephone-- 2786 5543

Citrus-- Established Moroccan inspired restaurant. Citrus is in the process of relocating to a newly renovated space in Filibuster Plaza. Watch for the grand opening. Telephone-- 2786 5715

Exotica-- An intimate small restaurant serving French-inspired fare. Their fabulous homemade deserts make one seriously consider starting their dinner with dessert. Add their lovely hospitality and relaxed pace to make for a perfect evening. Telephone 2786 5050

Fabrizio's Comida Italiana-- Specializes in pizza, pasta and salads. You are welcome to bring you own wine or beer. Telephone 8642 4082

FC Soda-- Ojochal is lucky to have FC Soda join our restaurant scene. Their menu includes typical Costa Rican food and some North American favorites such as hamburgers and nachos. They are located beside the bright blue ASADA building, across from the Ojochal community library.

Mama y Papa-- Specializes in Mediterranean Italian cuisine and featuring a beautiful mountain view. Telephone-- 2786 5336

Pancito Cafe-- Open for breakfast and lunch featuring fresh pastries from the bakery. A great location to meet friends for a morning coffee. Telephone-- 8729 4115
