As a third-generation Realtor, Tonya Kershner offers a rich blend of expertise and passion in real estate, deeply rooted in her family's 50 year legacy in the industry, owning and operating Kershner Company Real Estate. Her career is bolstered by a strong academic foundation, including Bachelor degrees in Communications and Sociology, which enhance her ability to understand and address client needs effectively, and manage every aspect of a deal. Tonya’s decade-long experience with a Fortune 500 company, where she led a team of 12 to support 90,000 colleagues through internal communications and marketing, has honed her skills in strategic thinking and prepared her well for the real estate industry. Tonya’s real estate journey began early at age 19 with her agent license, followed by her broker’s license in 2014. Her professional experience extends to working with Sotheby’s International Realty, further enriching her understanding of high-end property markets and international sales. Her lifelong work with her family’s real estate company underscores her deep-rooted commitment to the field. Since her beginnings in Costa Rica in 2016, Tonya has been captivated by the country’s culture, natural beauty, and tranquility, which has fueled her dedication to helping clients find their ideal properties in this paradise. Outside of work, she is a mother to three adult children and enjoys yoga and hiking, reflecting her appreciation for the natural splendor of her adopted home.
