For a lot of us our pets are a big part of our family and will be making the move to Costa Rica with you. The process for bringing pets in to Costa Rica is easy and straight forward.

A current rabies vaccination is required for all pets that enter Costa Rica. The vaccination must be administered between 30 days and one year before your departure for Costa Rica. You will also need an International Health Certificate that your veterinarian can provide. And make note that birds will require additional paperwork.

Airline regulations and fees vary so confirm to contact the airline you will be using to understand both cost and conditions regarding your pet's travel.
